Dolores Ellen (Widman) Colahan died on January 1st in Sandusky, Ohio.
Dolores better known as Dolly was born on June 18, 1940.
Dolly was a 1958 graduate of Norwalk St. Paul High School. After graduating from high school, Dolly pursued her goal of becoming a Registered Nurse and attended Providence Hospital School of Nursing in Sandusky, Ohio.
Dolly was a devoted wife to her late husband of 53 years, Brian V. Colahan. Dolly loved being a mother and grandmother. In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening, reading, yarn crafts, and painting. One of her favorite activities was enjoying the sun on her backyard patio where she had many plants and flowers. Cora, her beloved puppy, was devoted to Dolly and they both enjoyed being in the summer sunlight with a slight breeze gently blowing in their hair. Dolly also enjoyed vacations around the country and the simple quiet visits to the Amish areas of Ohio.
Survivors include her children, Kathleen Colahan and her fiancé. Rob Justice of Concord, Ohio, Stephen Colahan of Columbus, Ohio, Cynthia Colahan of Broadview Heights, Ohio and Andrew (Noelle) Colahan of Medina, Ohio; her grandchildren, Mikayla, Audry, Blake, Gabrielle, and Rachel; brother and sister-in-law, David and Susie Colahan of Columbus, Ohio; sister-in-law, Mrs. Rae Colahan of Norwalk and numerous nieces and nephews.
Dolly is preceded in death by her parents, Leo B. Widman and Eva (Swint) Widman; her sisters: Louise (Widman) Shipley; Patricia (Widman) Gross, Constance (Widman) Blum, Carol (Widman) Falter; brothers: Vernon Widman, Cleo Widman, and Ralph Widman.
Friends may call on Friday, January 7, 2022 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory Milan Chapel, 1 S. Main St., Milan. Prayers will be recited in the funeral home at 9:30 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, 145 S. Center St., Milan. Father Chris Jesudhason will officiate. A Rite of Committal will follow at St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery, Milan.
