Robert D. Fifield, Sr., 72, of Sandusky, passed away suddenly on Wednesday morning, January 5, 2022 at Firelands Regional Medical Center.
He was born on July 29, 1949 in Conneaut, OH to the late Robert E. and Patricia (Alley) Fifield.
He had over thirty years of experience at the Sandusky Ford Automotive Plant, where he retired as an electrician leader. Robert also served on the Margaretta Fire Department as a videographer.
A Vietnam-era veteran, he was a Third-Class Petty Officer Boatswain's Mate in the United States Navy.
He was a sports fan of the Cleveland Browns, Cavaliers, and the former Indians. He also liked the Ohio State Buckeyes. He enjoyed being a part of the Woolf family. You could find him playing golf, fishing, and he was a member of the Erie County Conservation League.
Robert is survived by his wife, Donna (Woolf) Fifield; son, Robert, Jr.; grandson, Tyler; and sister; Denise Carter.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Daniel; grandson, Garrett; step-father, Jack Gerold; sister and brother-in-law, Debbie and Bob Dick; sister, Jacqueline Csehi; and brothers-in-law, Carl Keimer and Tim Woolf.
Cremation will take place and a celebration of Robert's life will take place at a later date.
