Roby Dale Mullins, 70, residing in Norwalk, passed away Saturday, January 8, 2022 at Gaymont Nursing Home after a lengthy illness.
Dale was born on June 16, 1951 in Blue Moon, KY to the late Frank Mullins and Alberta Mullins Hall.
Dale moved to Ohio when he was 15 years old, and earned multiple certificates of training to become a Master Mechanic throughout his life. He was employed by Janesville Products in Norwalk, Sandusky Plastics for many years, Huron Cement Products Co., and retired from Decko Products Inc. in Sandusky. Dale was a member of the American Legion in Sandusky and an avid supporter of the NRA through his membership. He loved being outdoors, especially hunting, fishing and boating, and traveling. Dale was a patriotic man, enjoying grilling at family BBQs, and was always working on projects around the house and tinkering in his garage.
Dale is survived by his children, Anita (Darin) Dupont of Bellevue, Theresa (Rodney) Murph of SC, Tina Mullins of FL, and Jason Mullins; daughter-in-law, Candy (Jimmy) Mullins-Steinmetz of Huron; step-son, Josh Stewart; 16 grandchildren, Justin, Madison, Jayson, Austin, Brett, MacKenzie, Gage, Logan, Tyler, Hunter, Alexis, Jayden, Melody, Trinity, Blake and Jarrod; 4 great-grandchildren; brothers, Ronald (Liz) Mullins of KY and Ralph (Barb) Mullins of Norwalk; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
In addition to his parents, Dale is preceded in death by his wife, Sondra S. Mullins in 2020; son, Dale F. Mullins; step-son, Frank Stewart; granddaughter, Kylie Dupont; siblings, Wanda (Gary) Schnell, Vonda Waddle, and Ray Mullins; and his many dachshunds, all named "Teaspoon."
Friends may call on Thursday, January 13, 2022 from 10:00 am until the time of funeral services at 11:00 am at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E Perkins Ave, Sandusky with Pastor Wally Gilbert presiding. Burial will follow in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron, OH.
