Michael A. Dunn

Michael A. Dunn, 73, residing in Bellevue, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, January 16, 2022 at his home.

Michael was born on August 6, 1948 in Sandusky, OH to the late Kenneth Stout and Mary Frances (Stehr) Dunn.

Michael was a Veteran of the Army who proudly served his country during the Vietnam War earning two Bronze Stars and a Purple Heart. He retired from Routh Packing in 2013 after more than 30 years of service. Michael was a lifetime member of the Bellevue VFW 1238, Bellevue Eagles, and the Sandusky Amvets Post #17. In his spare time, he enjoyed socializing and visiting his clubs, being outdoors and in nature, and he especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Michael is survived by his daughters, Angela (Tom) Kessler of Sandusky and Heather (Scott) Eisenhauer of Bellevue; grandchildren, Brittany (Ansely) Phillips, Michael and Allison Kessler, and Michaela, Brandon and Devyne Eisenhauer; sister, Mary Ann (Guy) Karis of Castalia and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

In addition to his parents, Michael is preceded in death by his wife, whom he married November 11, 1967, Mary Alice (Ewers) Dunn on June 8, 2017.

Friends may call on Friday, January 21, 2022 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E Perkins Ave, Sandusky. Funeral services will be held in the funeral homes on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at 11:00 am. with Pastor Wally Gilbert presiding. Entombment will follow in Oakland Cemetery, Sandusky.
