Iola "Tutty" Vance, 66, Sandusky, departed this life on Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at Firelands Regional Medical Center after a lengthy illness.
Iola was born on March 10, 1945 in Anderson, South Carolina and moved to Ohio as a young child. She was employed at New Departure for over 25 years.
She accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior at a young age. She rededicated her life to the Lord and became a member of Agape Love Ministries International in 2010.
Iola was fun loving. She loved to knit, Bar-B-Que, and host family gatherings. To Iola, everyone was family.
Iola is survived by daughters, Twila P. (Courtney) Dowdell of Cleveland, OH and Teresa R. (Mathew) Buxton of New Jersey; grandchildren, Julian Johnson, Jr., James S. Dowdell, Sydney R. Buxton, and Temple J. Buxton; great-grandchildren, Aiden J. Mutnansky, Avianna E. and Kalina G. Mutnansky-Johnson; sisters, Bernice (Lonell) Taylor and Elease Hunter; cousin and caregiver, Betty Jo Haney; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents William "Bill" and Ida Mae (Martin) Harper; brother, Harold Harper; and sister, Irene Knight.
Friends may call on Tuesday, February 21, 2012 from 11 A.M. until time of funeral services at 1 P.M. in Agape Love Ministries International, 4013 Columbus Ave., Sandusky, with Bishop Clifton Jones, Sr. officiating. Burial will be in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron. Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky is assisting the family with arrangements.
