Patrick Anthony Cruse, 60, Sandusky, passed away Thursday, February 16, 2012 at his home, enjoying one of his pastimes, watching television.
Patrick "Red" was born in Detroit, MI on May 16, 1951, where he lived most of his life. He thought of it as his play ground. Red lived life with gusto, and loved everyone. He made everyone instant friends. His love for family came first, visiting, calling, and loving them. He was the life of the party and gave his all in everything he did. Reading western novels by Louis L'Amour, cooking, listening to gospel music, studying the bible, being by the water fishing, were several things he loved to do. He loved to walk everywhere. Patrick was a hard worker, and loved to please everyone. He would want us to celebrate his home going and some of his lasting words we will remember "Yah heard me now", his shout out "Go Blue" at any given moment, and giving everyone "Patrick's Wisdom".
Left to cherish his memory, brother, Michael E. (Valorie) Cruse, Sandusky; sister, Evelyn (Kathy) Woolen, Detroit, MI; great-niece, Shelby C. Cruse, nieces and nephews, Darius Woolen, Jasmine Woolen, Adrian A. Cruse, Theodius J. Hawkins, Christopher Reeves, Tamara Babb, Sharon Crenshaw, Quita Gulley, and Lashawn Westbrook; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Cora Truly; father, Victor Truly; uncles, Clement Grady, J.C. Grady, and Nick Grady; and beloved niece, Lisa M. Cruse.
