Daniel R. Yontz 72, Sandusky, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 2, 2022, in Firelands Regional Medical Center.
He was born on April 5, 1949 in Sandusky to the late Edward F. and Carrie B. (Haynes) Yontz.
He was employed by U.S. Tsubaki for 43 years.
Dan loved music, tinkering with projects, feeding the birds, and trips to Cedar Point. He was the kindest man who would help anyone, and loved to spend time with his wife.
He is survived by the love of his life, Catherine (Frisch) Yontz to whom he was proud to celebrate 50 years of marriage; his fur baby, Bree; sisters, Marcia A. (David) McCormick, Debra A. Yontz, Sandra M. Yontz, and Barbara L. Yontz all of Sandusky; brothers, Gary C. (Kathy) Yontz Sr., Clarence R. (Verna) Yontz both of Sandusky, and Dale A. (Karen) Yontz of Texas; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Ronald E. Yontz, Leon A. Yontz, Thomas E. Yontz, Edward P. Yontz, and Donald L. Yontz Sr.
Friends may call on Tuesday, February 8, 2022, from 9 A.M. until time of funeral services at 11 A.M. in New Life Church, 6511 Milan Rd., Sandusky. Rev. John Adams will officiate. Entombment will follow in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron. Memorial contributions in Daniel's name may be made to Cancer Services of Erie County, 505 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky, OH 44870 or to Humane Society of Erie County, 1911 Superior St., Sandusky, OH 44870.
