Herald "Hal" Kesson McAlpin, 94, of Elyria, died February 25, 2022 at Admiral's Pointe, Huron, after failing health.
He was born on January 20, 1928 in Elyria to Vernon McAlpine and Phoebe (Wilcox) McAlpine.
Hal is survived by his sons, Scott (Debbie) McAlpin, of Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, and John (Sally) McAlpin, of Belmont, Massachusetts; nine grandchildren; and nineteen great-grandchildren, the most recent born seven hours before Herald's passing.
A private family memorial/celebration of life is being planned. Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky, is handling arrangements.
