Larry Miller, 58, Sandusky, died unexpectedly on Saturday, February 18, 2012 in Firelands Regional Medical Center, after a brief illness.
Larry was born on November 5, 1953 in Helena, Arkansas to Ambrose Miller, Sr. and Dorothy Green. He was the second of ten children born to this union.
At an early age, the family relocated to Chicago, Illinois where he graduated from Harrison High School. After graduation, he was employed with the Chicago Transit Authority for twenty years. He married his childhood sweetheart, Dorothy Cage, in 1973, and they had two children together. Larry and his family later moved to Sandusky, OH, where he enjoyed spending time with his family and fishing.
He was a member of Agape Love Ministries, Sandusky.
Larry is survived by his wife of 38 years, Dorothy (Cage) Miller; children, Vernon Miller and Latrice Miller, both of Sandusky; his mother , Dorothy Green, Sandusky; brothers and sisters, Ambrose (Juanita) Miller, Myrtle (Tyrone) Griffin, Terry Montgomery, Richard Montgomery, Lawrence Douglas, Alfred Douglas, Kenneth Green,and Leshawn Green, and Doris Green; four grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Idella Franklin; father, Ambrose Miller, Sr.; grandson, Amir Miller; mother-in-law, Mary Garrett; sister-in-law, Chenetta Cage; and brothers, Howard Miller and Byron Miller.
Friends may call on Friday, February 24, 2012 from 11 AM until time of funeral services at 1 PM in Agape Love Ministries, 4013 Columbus Ave., Sandusky, Ohio. Bishop Clifton T. Jones, Sr. will officiate. Burial will be in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Sandusky. Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky, is assisting with arrangements.
