Mary Anne Palomo, age 66, of Castalia, and beloved mother of three sons, Israel, Adrian, and Lucas Palomo and adoring wife to Fred Palomo, passed away peacefully Saturday evening, March 5, 2022, at Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Mary Anne was born March 9, 1955, to Matias and Mercedes (Rodriguez) Torres at Good Samaritan Hospital in Sandusky. She grew up surrounded by her large family of twelve siblings. Mary Anne was influenced by her family to be an incredibly beautiful woman, always giving her love and time to others, and incorporated that into her motherhood.
She met her husband, Fred in 1974 after he was discharged from the Army and fell in love instantly. They knew they both shared a love for family and decided to start their own. As a mother she was generous, loving, and kind. She had the real heart of a mother and spoiled her sons as much as she possibly could. Mary Anne became a grandmother and she was absolutely thrilled to have six and about having more children to love! In her free time, she loved to go to as many sports games/events for her sons and grandchildren's as she possibly could and she was their biggest cheerleader.
Her family moved during her sophomore year at Margaretta High School, and was a graduate of Fremont Ross High School in 1974. She worked in the accounting department of Wahl Factory for over 30 years. Upon her retirement, she and her husband traveled and were blessed to be able to enjoy their son's families' moments.
Anyone that truly knew Mary Anne, knew she had such a big heart and everyone who knew her loved for who she was. The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Mary Anne.
She had the ability to find happiness in her daily activities such as enjoying the delicious "specialty" coffee her husband made her every morning and traveling with him. She loved spending time in the kitchen and is known for her delicious Mexican food-especially her chicken mole and tortillas. They were the best!
Her love of life didn't come to an end with her death, but her family will continue to honor her legacy by living their lives to the fullest. She will be greatly missed by her husband Fred; her sons Israel (Jill), Adrian (Rachel), and Lucas (Holly); grandchildren Ben, Eden, Isla, Maximus, and Cordi; brothers Joe (Vida) Torres, Danny (Olga) Torres; sisters Emma (Bennie) Martinez, Lydia (Alfredo) Hernandez, Irma (Robert) Jones, Sallie (Caesar) Hernandez, and Teddie (Rigo) Hernandez; sister in-law Jean Torres; brother in-law JB Jenkins; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mary Anne has now been reunited in heaven with family members; grandson Samuel Isaac Palomo; parents Matias and Mercedes Torres; brothers Manuel and Vince Torres; sisters Gloria Torres and Beatrice Jenkins; nieces Victoria Imke, Esther Wonser, Erica and Christy Jones; and nephew Jose Navarro.
Friends may call Thursday, March 10, 2022, from 2 PM until time of funeral service at 4 PM, at Ransom Funeral & Cremation Service, 610 S. Washington St., Castalia. Rev. Dave Brown will officiate.

Mary Anne is surrounded by her husband, sons, grandchildren, and many family members. We remember you now in love, your life from start to end and we're all so proud of you as our wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. We shall never forget you.
