Annie Elizabeth (Kinzy) Couch, 99, residing in Sandusky, passed away early Thursday, March 17, 2022 at Gaymont Nursing Home.
Annie was born on January 21, 1923 in Martins Ferry, OH to the late Forrest and Ada (Dennis) Kinzy.
Annie graduated from St. Clairsville High School in 1941. She was employed as a stenographer at the Belmont County Courthouse before becoming a homemaker and raising her children. Annie became a member of Calvary Baptist Church in May 1975, where until her death, she was the living oldest member. She enjoyed watching the Cleveland Indians and OSU football, reading, sewing, cleaning and spending time with her family and friends. Her greatest joy was her family.
Annie is survived by her daughters, Deborah (Don) Regnier of Wichita, KS and Dana (Bill) Blumensaadt of Catawba Island; sons, Daren (Kathy) Couch of Kennesaw, GA and Dennis (Margaret) Couch of Mansfield; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; brother, Harold Kinzy and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
In addition to her parents, Annie is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Couch in 2020 and siblings, Mary Kaptein, Valta Giffin, Ralph, Lowell and Herb Kinzy.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, March 21, 2022 at 1:30 pm at Meadow Green Memorial Park, 2602 Bogart Road, Huron with Pastor David Hixson presiding. Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
