On Tuesday, March 22, 2022, John William Alexander, 80, Sandusky, was called to eternal rest to the heavenly realm by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
John was born on September 5, 1941 in Hartsville, Tennessee to the late Minnie McClellan Mills and late Charles Alexander, and graduated from Ward High School.
He was a faithful member of the Ebenezer Baptist Church, where he enjoyed being active with the Male Chorus, Brotherhood Ministry, and the Security Team at the church. John was employed at Delphi-Chassis where he retired after 38 years of service.
He left to cherish his life in memory his wife of 56 years Ida Alexander, son, Tim (Marcia) Wright Nashville, Tennessee, son, Tony Alexander, Findlay, Ohio, daughter, Stephanie (Arturius) Alexander-Johnson, Lorain, OH, sisters, Shirl Wood, Toledo, OH, and Mary (Gregory) Daughtery, Louisville, Kentucky, brother, Robert (Donna) McClellan, Sandusky, OH, uncle, Bobby Joe Lewis, Harstville, TN, brothers-in-law, Fred (Clem) Washington, Sandusky, OH, and Joseph (Kim) Smith, Louisville, KY, sisters-in-law, Jackie (Johnnie) Brown, Frankfort, KY, and Marie Jones, Louisville, KY, granddaughters, Brittany, Alexandria, and Jasmine, grandsons, Eric and Cameron and great- granddaughter Amara along with a host of special sons, special daughters, special granddaughters, special grandsons, special Godchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Friends may call 6:30 - 8:30pm on Sunday, March 27, 2022 at Ebenezer Baptist Church, 1215 Pierce St., Sandusky and from 10am until the time of the funeral service at 12pm on Monday, March 28th, 2022.
