Edith "Eda" Mary Righi, 88, of Sandusky passed away late Tuesday evening, March 22, 2022 at Admirals Pointe, Huron, surrounded by loving family, after almost a 2 year battle with cancer.
She was born on Kelly's Island, March 7, 1934 to Louis and Josephine (Lombardi) Righi.
Eda attended Sts Peter & Paul School and Sandusky High School. Eda worked various jobs over the years at American Crayon, Westvaco and finally retiring from P & P Packaging.
Eda enjoyed reading, fishing, cooking and watching the cooking channel. She would cook for anyone that wanted to eat. She enjoyed watching the Catholic Church channel and saying her Rosary daily. Her biggest enjoyment would be spending time with family and friends. She was an avid lover of animals, especially her sister's Pomeranians, Pepe and Raphael.
She was a member of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church Church, VFW and Fraternal Order of Eagles.
She is survived by her brothers, Mario Righi of Johnson City, TN; Floyd (Mary) Righi of Sandusky; sisters, Delores (Harry) Perdue Sr. and Helen (Dean) Scheel, both of Sandusky and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Eda was preceded in death by her sisters, Ida and Darlene Righi as infants and brothers, Guerino Righi in 2009 and Paschal (Pat) Righi in 2016 as well as her sister-in-laws, Betty Righi and Emma Righi.
The family will receive friends on Monday, March 28, 2022, from 10am until funeral services at 12pm at Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Rev Harvey Studer of The Church of God will officiate.
