Rhea L. (Koehler) Gessner

Rhea L. (Koehler) Gessner, 70, of Sandusky, died Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at Stein Hospice Care Center.

She was born on June 13, 1951 in Sandusky to the late Paul, Sr. and Ila Koehler.

She attended Sandusky High School and worked many years as a Home Healthcare Aid at Renaissance House. She enjoyed coloring, fishing, and spending time with her family most.

Rhea is survived by her large and loving family, husband and love of her life of 26 years, Norman Gessner, Sr.; daughter, Tracy Smith; bonus daughter, Belinda (Jon) York; bonus son, Doug (Jen) Brant; step-children, Danyell (Matt) Adams, Lynda Gessner, and Christina Gessner; grandchildren, James (Heather) Armstrong, Robert (Angela) Armstrong, Faithanna Armstrong, Allen (Mikayla) Smith, and William Armstrong; bonus grandchildren, Ashely Slater and Adam Spicer; great-grandchildren, James III, Trenton, Trinity, Bentley, Jaxon, Brooklyen, Brock, Jaiden, Lavar Jr., Tatyanna, Liberty, Allen III, William Jr., Abel, Avah, Brodi, Ashton, and Dennarius; and bonus great-grandchildren, Luke York, Cierra Musslewhite, and Lacie (Jerry) Musslewhite; bonus great-great-grandchildren, Cierra and Remi; brother and sister, Brad and Karen; and special nieces, Debbie Lusher and Cheryl Fannin.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Paul; bonus sister, Cathy Green; bonus grandson, Tyler Johnson; Precious Aunt E; bonus granddaughter, Cilla; and step-son, Norman Gessner Jr.

Cremation will take place and private family services will be held. Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky, is handling arrangements.
