Eunice L. (Casanova) Ries, 89, residing in Sandusky, passed away Thursday evening, April 7, 2022 at her home.
Eunice was born on July 10, 1932 in Bellevue, OH to the late Aloyisius and Amelia (Raufheisen) Casanova.
Eunice retired from Plum Brook Country Club in 1987 after 25 years of service, where she was a waitress and a hostess. Following her retirement, she spent 13 years as head of housekeeping at Bayshore Campgrounds in the summers. Eunice's greatest love was her family.
Eunice is survived by her children, Deborah (Chris Travers) Warren, Karen (Bruce) Garlock, Patti Sue (Jeff) Daugherty and Robert W. (Eva) Ries Jr; grandchildren, Jason Burns, Amy Reedy, Eva Bickley, Tabatha Miller, Robert W. Ries III, Sunshine Vilardi, Dixie Garlock and Royce Young; great-grandchildren, Trayjen Rarden, Caleb Burns, Clarinda and Carmine Vilardi, Gavin Burns, Jay Bickley and Brenna Brown
In addition to her parents, Eunice is preceded in death by her husband, Robert W. Ries Sr. in 2016; daughter, Clarinda Gundlach and great-grandson, Keegan Rarden.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Private family burial will be held at Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron. Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
