Frederick W. Schlueb, DC, 86, of Sandusky, passed away on Tuesday evening, May 3, 2022 in Stein Hospice Care Center with his wife, Pat, by his side.
He was born on November 19, 1935 in Toledo, the son of Raymond and Alma Schlueb.
Fred was a graduate of Macomber High School in Toledo, attended Toledo University, and was a graduate of Palmer Chiropractic College in Davenport, Iowa. He practiced first in Toledo, then for many years in Sandusky. Once retired from chiropractic treatment, he continued to work at Kalahari and Menards because he enjoyed being with people.
Fred was honorably discharged from the U.S. Air Force, having served in the 112th Tactical Fighter Squadron.
Fred was a lifetime member of AMVETS, was a member of the American Legion, and loved to golf. He enjoyed spending time with his wife, Pat, and loved animals.
Fred is survived by his wife, Patricia Schlueb; nieces and nephews; and special friends that have helped support both he and Pat.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Daniel Schlueb, DC.
Visitation will be from 6-8 P.M. on Monday, May 9 at Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Another visitation will take place on Tuesday from 10 A.M. until the time of funeral services at 11 A.M. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Sandusky.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Fred's name to Stein Hospice or Humane Society of Erie County.
