Thomas L. Wingate, 84, of Monroeville passed away May 5, 2022, in the Norwalk Memorial Home.
He was born March 2, 1938, in Monroeville, the son of Lloyd P. and Ruth G. (Enders) Wingate.
Tom was a 1956 graduate of Monroeville High School. After graduation, he married his wife of sixty-three years, Juanita Howey on September 28, 1958.
He served with the U.S. Army in Germany from 1962-1965. He was a member of the Masonic Roby Lodge 534, Teamsters, and the American Legion Post 547. He attended Trinity Lutheran Church, Monroeville and enjoyed boating, working with stained glass, and time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Juanita (Howey) Wingate; his daughters, Brenda Gould and her husband Tim of Norfolk, Tracy Beckett and her husband Darrell of Lebanon; three grandchildren, Janet Gould, Kylee Beckett, and Chase Beckett; one sister, Alice Anderson and her husband Charlie of Cortland.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Nancy, and his brother Richard.
The family will have a private celebration of life at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made in Tom's memory to the donor's favorite charity.
