Howard J. Notestine

Howard J. Notestine, 63, residing in Cleveland, passed away after a brief illness Saturday, May 21, 2022 at the Cleveland Clinic surrounded by his family.

Howard was born on June 17, 1958 in Sandusky, OH to the late Donald B. and Nancy H. (Dye) Notestine Sr.

Howard had a heart of gold. He deeply loved his family and the outdoors; he was an avid hunter and fisherman. In his free time, you would find him perfecting his lawn and gardening, watching western movies, strategizing his next lotto numbers, and caring for his cherished pets. Howard worked at Davro Inc. in quality control and wastewater treatment for over 20 years.

Howard was preceded in death by his longtime companion, Sandra Fussaro.

Howard is survived by his children, Brian (Kristin) Notestine, Kelley (James) Dillinger, and Alex (Erica) Notestine; grandchildren, Luke, Ty, Merin, Cora, Brooks and Emma; sisters, Janet (Thomas) Runner, Debra (G. Roy) McMillon, Nanette (David) Reel, Julie (Richard) Gorbach; brothers, Donald (Laurie) Notestine, and Steven (Margie) Notestine and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Friends may call on Thursday, May 26, 2022 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E Perkins Ave, Sandusky. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 am, Friday, May 27, 2022 at Castalia Cemetery, Castalia, OH.
