Larry C. Harris

Larry C. Harris, 76, of Sandusky, passed away on Saturday, May 21, 2022.

He was born on March 4, 1946 to Jerry and Patricia (Cramer) Harris. He worked at Sandusky International for 35 years.

Larry was married to the love of his life, Frances, for almost 60 years. They built a wonderful life together and were a constant source of support and love for each other.

In his younger years, Larry was an avid raccoon hunter, raising and training his own dogs. He greatly enjoyed traveling with his wife, sister-in-law, and brother-in-law. They had many great adventures together. Larry also loved spending time with his brothers, whether they were fishing or sitting around talking and laughing. It didn't matter what they were doing as long as they were together.

He adored his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He often took his grandchildren fishing, painted birdhouses with them, and helped his grandsons with woodworking projects.

Larry was a jack-of-all-trades. There was nothing that he could not fix or build. He had a passion for woodworking and spent many hours creating whatever came to mind. His specialty was birdhouses - each was unique and built specially for the people he gave them to. He put a great deal of thought and a whole lot of love into each project.

Larry is survived by his wife, Frances (Dishman) Harris; daughter, Pamela (Erwin) Dugasz; son, Mickey (Paula) Harris; grandchildren, Christopher Harris, Rebecca Dugasz, Erwin Dugasz, Alex Dugasz; step-grandchildren, Blaine Corriveau and Miranda Corriveau; great-grandchildren, Ashley Nolder and Karaline Harris; as well as much-loved nieces, nephews, and sisters-in-law.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Connie (Harris) Saylor; brothers, Jerry "Sonny" Harris and Steve Harris; and nephew, "Bud" Keel.

Cremation has taken place and the family will hold a private celebration of Larry's life. Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky, handled arrangements.
