Calvin Richardson, 53, Sandusky, died on Tuesday, October 19, 2010 unexpectedly in Firelands Reg. Med. Center.
He was born on March 3, 1957 in Sandusky. He was employed by Sandusky Dressed Beef, Moyer Roofing, and Universal Clay, among other places. Calvin enjoyed being a captain for many years playing pool for the station house, and barbequing on the grill for backyard outings with family and friends. He loved all sports - especially the Yankees, A.L., and the Cowboys.
Calvin is survived by his wife of 30 years and mother of his children, Barbara (Clark) Richardson; daughter, Toka Clark; sons, Dominik Richardson and Darvius Richardson, all of Sandusky; brothers, Al (Gerri) Richardson, Charles (Betty) Richardson, Willie Richardson, and Dewayne (Julie) Richardson, all of Kokomo, IN; special brother-cousin, Terry (Beatrice) Adams, Texas; sister, Nina Miller, Sandusky; five grandchildren; special sister-in-law, Dorothy Clark, Sandusky; and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Bernice Richardson; father, Edward Baxley, paternal grandparents, Robert and Viola Baxley; and maternal grandmother, Elizabeth Smith Thomas.
Friends may call on Monday, October 25, 2010 from 12 Noon until time of funeral services at 1 P.M. in Porter's Memorial C.M.E. Church, 1722 Third St., Sandusky. Rev. Darrell Gant will officiate.
