Leonard T. Kubitz, 73, of Bellevue, passed away Wednesday morning, May 25, 2022, in the Bellevue Hospital following a lengthy illness.
He was born June 11, 1948, in Sandusky and was a 1966 graduate of Sandusky High School.
Leonard was employed at the New Departure-Hyatt, Division of General Motors and retired in 2006 from Delphi after 38 years of service. He was a 40-plus-year member and past Master of Perseverance Lodge No. 329, F.&A.M., Sandusky City Chapter No. 72, R.A.M., Sandusky City Council No. 26, R.&S.M., Erie Commandery No. 23, K.T., Singara Grotto, former member of Scottish Rite, No. 32 degree Mason, Valley of Toledo, Zenobia Shrine Club, Firelands Shrine Club, High Twelve Club, North Central Forest No. 179 of the Tall Cedars.
He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Beverly (Koch) Kubitz; one son, Carle (Melinda) Kubitz of Clyde, Ohio; one daughter, Vonda Briceland of Hinckley; seven grandchildren, Collin, Noah, Kyra, Melody, Kaden, Logan and Charley; two brothers, Eugene Kubitz of Sandusky and Jimmy (Tina) Kubitz of Florida; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Jennifer Kubitz; his parents, Paul and Mary (Cammalleri) Kubitz; and one brother, Richard Kubitz.
Private family services will be at the Pfeil Funeral Home, Monroeville Chapel, 109 Monroe St., Monroeville. Pastor Neil Hawkins will officiate. Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery, Monroeville.
