Ruth Joanne (Kromer) Moyer, 88, Norwalk, wife of the late Wesley G. Moyer, passed away in her home on Sunday evening, May 29, 2022, surrounded by her loving family.
Ruth was born in Barnesboro, Pennsylvania, Sept 7, 1933 to the late Stephen and Ruth (Boyle) Kromer.
She was a 1952 graduate of St. Mary Central Catholic High School. Ruth's days were enjoyed with an open door to an ever-growing family, getting out with her breakfast club of classmates from St. Mary's, the opportunity to try her luck at bingo and other gaming activities. She loved the Milan Melon Festival and could not wait for Labor Day weekend every year!
She loved the Milan Community and donated many hours as President of the Edison Athletic Boosters, the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, and St. Anthony's Altar and Rosary Society.
She was a generous and faith-filled woman who spent countless hours making and painting a trove of ceramics to bless our homes including nativity sets for all of her children and grandchildren, Santas from around the world, holiday trees, personalized angels, Easter eggs and other treasures.
Her memory will be cherished and kept alive by her loving children, Stephen (Tamara Dalgarn), Fulshear, TX, Gordon Moyer, Norwalk, Colonel (Ret) Diane Moyer, Norwalk, David Moyer (Diane Boose), Norwalk, Daniel Moyer (Patty Ritz), Milan, Julie Moyer (Larry Burtscher), Norwalk, Michael (Tracey Hoffecker), Milan; 19 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; her sister-in-law, Patricia (Moyer) Johns, and nephew, Robert (Debbie) Prince.
In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Reverend Stanley Kromer; sister, Marjorie Kromer (Prince) Robbins; brother-in-law, Carl Robbins, and nephew, Thomas Prince.
Friends may call on Thursday, June 2, 2022 from 4:00 pm 8:00 pm at Groff Funeral Homes and Crematory Milan Chapel, 1 S. Main St., Milan. A Rosary Service will be held, Friday morning, June 3rd at 9:30 am at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, 145 S. Center St., Milan followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am. Father Francis Mariadas will officiate. Burial will follow in the Milan Cemetery, Milan
