Marlene E. Smith

Marlene E. Smith, 75, of Monroeville passed away peacefully Monday, June 6, 2022, in the Fisher Titus Medical Center, Norwalk.

She was born April 22, 1947, in Norwalk and was a 1965 graduate of Monroeville High School.

She was employed at the RR Donnelley in Willard for forty plus years prior to her retirement. She was a member of the Congregational Community United Church of Christ in Monroeville and the CCW Club of Clyde. Marlene enjoyed traveling, was an avid NASCAR enthusiast, and truly enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

She is survived by one son, Jeffery (Sandee) Smith of Monroeville; two grandchildren, Jamie Smith of Monroeville and Stacie (Andy Gonos) Smith of Huron; four great grandchildren, Riley, Jayden, Petros, and Christine; one brother, Lyle (Sue) Smith of Norwalk; nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Muriel (Lehnart) Smith; one sister, Janice Y. Smith; and one brother and sister-in-law, Richard "Dick" and Ruth Smith.

Friends may call from 10:00 am until time of funeral service at 1:00 pm on Friday, June 10, 2022, in the Pfeil Funeral Home, Monroeville Chapel, 109 Monroe Street, Monroeville. Rev. Dr. Wayne Chasney will officiate. Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery, Monroeville.
