Reef Young Jr. 59, Sandusky, passed away Saturday, June 4, 2022, at his residence.
He was born in Sandusky on October 30, 1962 to Geneva Richey and the late Reef Young Sr.
Reef was a 1981 graduate of Sandusky High School and attended Terra Tech State Community College.
He was employed by Sears for 20 years along with Midas and Parkview, which he enjoyed very much.
Reef is survived by his wife, Dale; mother, Geneva Richey; son, Reef Young III; sisters, Denise Rogers, Theresa Reed, Erna Keahey, and Deanau Young; brothers, Joe Young, and Michael Collins III; aunt, Emma McDougall; god daughters, Arielle Redding and A'niya Redding; a host of nieces and nephews; special friends, Scott Hauke, Travis Myers, Rick McGee, Freeman Hunter, and Ed Liphart.
He was preceded in death by his father; step father, Herd Richey Jr.; maternal grandparents, Evans and Bertha Moss Maye; paternal grandparents, Lemmie Young and RoseAnne Johnson; great nephew, Fred Eugene Collins III.
Friends may call on Sunday, June 12, 2022, from 6-8 P.M. in Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Funeral services will be held Monday at 12 P.M. Noon in Ebenezer Baptist Church, 1215 Pierce St., Sandusky. Rev. Darrell Gant will officiate. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery.
