Brenda Stovall-Abrams Parker was born on March 21, 1947 in Sandusky, Ohio. She transitioned to her heavenly Father's mansion on Wednesday June 8, 2022 in Toledo St. Vincent's Hospital following a brief illness. Brenda was the proud daughter of Mabel (Stovall) Abrams and Thomas Abrams.
Brenda was given voice and piano lessons at an early age and love singing and playing piano. She attended Sandusky City School and was a four-year member of the A cappella Choir, graduating from Sandusky High in 1965. After graduation, Brenda went on to obtain employment for more than 30 years at the Sandusky Chrysler Plant, later renamed Sandusky Vinyl and AccuStar Plant before closing their doors in 2004. She was currently employed by the Volunteers of America Crossroads Shelter until her passing.
Brenda was baptized at Ebenezer Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Leon Lee Troy in the latter of the 1950's and sang with the Oscerian Singers, a church traveling choir. She continued worshiping at Ebenezer Baptist Church under the new leadership of Pastor Curtis Asa Brown from 1966 until 2009. In the later part of 2009, she began to worship with the Harvest House Missionary Baptist Church where she became the director of music under the pastorate ship of Josiah P. Brown Sr.
Continuing the legacy of Brenda is her son Brandon (Daniella Graves-Parker), Louisville, KY. four granddaughters: Branderra Parker, Youngstown, OH., Da'Nia Parker, Daneshia Rice, Diamond Pearson, Louisville, Ky. and one grandson Jatice Massey, Canton, Ohio. Two great-granddaughters Arieah Morris, Louisville and Kyrie Massey, Canton, OH. Brothers: Thomas Jr. (Laura) Abrams, Cincinnati, OH., Stuart Abrams and Charlie Abrams, both of Sandusky, OH., David Abrams, Findlay, OH., Myron (Stacey) Abrams, Chicago, IL. Special uncle, Waymond Stovall, Warren, OH. and Special aunts Katie Stovall, Sandusky, OH. and Betty Stovall, Flint, MI. Special Cousins: Louise Cunningham and Monique Stovall. Dear friends: Gwen Gant, Nora Monegan, Betty Simmons, Ruthie Tye, Willie Twymon-Aaron and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, others relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents Mabel and Thomas Abrams, paternal father Robert Andrew Rice, brother Steven Abrams, special aunts Gloria "Jeanie" (Stovall) Graves, Luvada and Marion Stovall, Gladys Sizemore, special uncles: Jerry, Paul (Conley), Franklin, "Pete" and John, "Uncle Rev" Stovall.
