Darlene K. (Reed) Lochotzki

Darlene K. (Reed) Lochotzki, 71, Huron, passed away Friday, October 7, 2022, at her residence surrounded by her family.

She was born December 31, 1950, in Fremont, Ohio and had attended Fremont Ross High School.

Darlene was a hardworking and devoted stay at home Mom until her children were grown. At that time, she went to work at Sears in the Sandusky Mall during the late 80's and early 90's. She then worked for 12 years at the Huron McDonald's, retiring in 2015.

Darlene loved to collect glass, visit casinos, and spend time with her family.

She is survived by her husband, Lawrence J. "Larry" Lochotzki, whom she married May 22,1971 in St. Mary's Catholic Church, Sandusky. Also surviving is her son, John R. Lochotzki; her daughter, Juliane M. (Gregory) Finton; one grandson, Brandon J. Lochotzki, all of Huron; a host of brother in laws and sister in laws, nieces, nephews, and other relatives, including a special cousin, Roger (Teresa) Shetzer.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Lori A. Lochotzki in December of 1972; her mother, Betty A. Holmer; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jerome and Rita Lochotzki; one brother, Russell Holmer; one sister, Suzie Holmer; and her grandparents, Merl & Lila Reed and Glen & Luella Vincent.

Friends may call from 5:00 - 8:00 pm on Wednesday, October 12, 2022, in the St. Peter Catholic Church Gathering Space, 430 Main Street, Huron, Ohio. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am Thursday, October 13, 2022, in St. Peter Catholic Church. Father Gerald Ceranowski will officiate. Burial will be in Scott Cemetery, Huron Township.

Darlene's family would like to give a special thank you to Heather Klaehn, RN with Stein Hospice Service for the special care she gave to Darlene.
