David Leroy Moore, 75, residing in Sandusky, passed away unexpectedly Monday afternoon, November 7, 2022 at Firelands Regional Medical Center.
Leroy was born on March 18, 1947 in Sandusky, OH to the late Johnny and Evelyn (Webster) Moore.
Leroy graduated from Sandusky High School in 1965. He was a Veteran of the Air Force who proudly served his country from 1965 to 1968, during the Vietnam War. Leroy retired as a machine operator from the Sandusky Delphi in 2006 after 36 years of service. He was a member of the UAW Local 913. He enjoyed bowling, working out, traveling, Cleveland sports teams, the Ohio State Buckeyes and spending time with his family and friends, especially his two grandsons.
Leroy is survived by his wife of 48 years, Karin (Brown) Moore, whom he married on August 31, 1974. He is also survived by his three daughters, Angela Graham of CA, Dawn Moore and Kisha Moore both of Sandusky; grandsons, Davion and DeMani Moore; sister, Phyllis Moore of Savannah, GA; sister-in-law, Ann Moore; special cousin, Mary Frances Arrington; sister-in-law, Almenia Moore and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
In addition to his parents, Leroy is preceded in death by sisters, Janie' Haskins, Harriet Thomas, Betty McKind and Vivian Smith; brothers, James, Thomas, Fred, John and Ronald Moore and special cousin, Thomas Arrington.
At Leroy's request, private family services will be held at a later date. Chaplin Kehmes Lands will officiate. Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
