John E. "Moose" Keller, 76, Sandusky, died on Thursday, October 21, 2010 in Stein Hospice Care Center.
He was born on August 10, 1934 in Sandusky. He was a 1953 graduate of St. Mary's High School, where he was an All-Ohio High School Football standout. John worked as a self-employed plasterer for many local residents and businesses. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, and an avid fan of old-time classic cars, a member of several classic car clubs, and a member of the Jim Beam Bottle Collectors Club.
John is survived by his daughters, Vickie (Randy) Gundlach, Green Cove Springs, FL, Lorrie (Tim) Fantozz, and Jackie (Gary) Acierni, both of Sandusky; son, Barry Keller, Sandusky; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Ann (Gary) Hager, Sandusky; brothers, Paul (Hazel) Keller, Cookeville, TN, and Richard (JoAnne) Keller, Sandusky; and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Keller, Jr. and Mildred (Good) Keller.
Private family services will be held in Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Deacon Bill Burch will officiate.
