Portrice "Portie Kay" Twymon, 61, of Sandusky, was called home at Stein Hospice Care Center on Monday, November 14th, 2022.
Portrice was born on January 8th, 1961, in Sandusky, the daughter of the late J.T. and Jerline Twymon.
Portrice was a lifelong resident of Sandusky. She was affectionately referred to as "my sweet girl", "with a heart of gold". Portrice loved her grandkids, they were her life, they were the center of her conversation, she loved to talk about them. She was a beloved member of Kingdom Life Deliverance Church.
Portrice was preceded in death by her parents, maternal and paternal grandparents, her special great nephew Torrence Sintell Desjamond Grissom Jr. aka "T. J.", aunts and uncles.
Portrice leaves to cherish her memory her son La'Darrius Twymon, Sandusky, her three sisters; Donna Tye, of Sandusky, big sister Gloria Dennis, of Dallas, Texas, Stephanie Yancy, of Cincinnati, Ohio, brother; George Yancy, of Sandusky, three grandchildren; Ladarion Kirkwood of Sandusky, Korday Twymon, of Dayton, Ohio, Kyler Twymon, of Sandusky, Ohio.
Special neice KinShana Twymon, great niece Sha'Coreya Johnson, great-great neice Az'Alayia Fisher, special nephew Torrence Grissom Sr. aka "Chop", special nephew Shonta Johnson, special daughter Danielle Kirkwood aka "Poonie". Special friends; Louise Cunningham, Cissy Brown, Kim Crabb, Jean Coleman, Lynn Stovall, Jim Payton, Mary Johnson, Mary Burchett, Lucy Taylor, Dawn Forney, Sheila Graves, Cheranda Forney Nickelson, Rebecca Traylor, nieces, nephews, cousins.
Friends and family may call 10:00-12:00 pm on Monday, November 28th, 2022, until services begin at 12:00 pm at Ebenezer Baptist Church 1215 Pierce Street, Sandusky, Ohio 44870. Pastor Sheila Graves will be the eulogist.
