Robert C. "Bob" Didelot

Robert C. "Bob" Didelot, 88, of Norwalk and formerly of Milan, peacefully entered Heaven at his home, Thanksgiving evening, November 24, 2022 following a courageous battle with cancer.

Bob was born June 29, 1934 in Floyds Knobs, IN, to the late Frank and Emma (Bezy) Didelot.

He spent eight years in the US Air Force Strategic Air Command during and after the Korean War, and he worked as a nuclear engineer for NASA at both the Plum Brook Station in Sandusky and the Lewis Research Center in Cleveland, retiring in 1980. Bob was a parishioner of St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Milan, a member of American Legion Post 527, Milan, and a member of the Knights of Columbus.

Bob is survived by his wife of 60 years, Judith "Judy" Didelot; his children, Steve (Sherri) Didelot of Milan, Jack Didelot of Notre Dame, IN, Lana Didelot (Dan Taylor) of Clyde, and Julie Didelot of Castalia; his grandchildren, Katie (Ben) Fries of Willard, Melanie (Justin) Reedy of Milan, and Autumn Downing (Brian Evans) of Huron; and great-grandchildren, Alivia, Avery, Caleb, Addison, Cooper, Adaline, Mia, and Natalie. Bob is also survived by his sister, Dorothy Ann Kruer of Floyds Knobs, IN. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, James and Edward Didelot, and sister, Mary Ellen Koopman.

A memorial mass will be celebrated at a later date, and private inurnment will be in Milan Cemetery. Groff Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan assisted the family. Those wishing to contribute to Bob's memory may do so to Stein Hospice, 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, OH 44870.
