Sheryl Elaine (Shaner) Seitz, 64, born August 8, 1958, to Earl and Deloris Shaner in Wooster, Ohio, passed away December 4, 2022, in Bucyrus, Ohio. After a long battle with kidney cancer, she went home to heaven with her husband Tim Seitz at her side.
Sheryl is preceded in death by her mother and father, Earl and Deloris Shaner and brother Bill Shaner. She is survived by her husband Tim Seitz, son Eric Swartzentruber, daughter Laura (Jesse) Wood and her grandchildren.
Sheryl and Tim were together for 27 years and loved each other so much they married twice in 1995. Over the years Sheryl was very active in both Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts. She enjoyed camping and singing. Above all else she enjoyed praising God. She followed her calling later in life and became an ordained elder with the East Ohio Conference of the United Methodist Church. She had the opportunity to lead several different churches. She most recently had the privilege of leading St. Paul's United Methodist Church of Galion Ohio. She has met so many people and touched so many lives, she will be truly missed by many. A special thanks to all the medical staff that has cared for her over the years through her brave cancer journey.
