Rose M. McGrath, 98, of Clyde, died Monday, December 12, 2022 at her home.
She was born July 2, 1924 in Bellevue to Anthony & Josephine (Trupo) Disandis.
Rose graduated from Bellevue High School in 1943. Most of her working career was spent as the bookkeeper at Billings Garage in Clyde. Rose loved to play bingo at St. Mary's Hall, where she served as the bingo cashier for 33 years.
On April 7, 1947 she married Robert McGrath. He preceded her in death, just ten years later on May 3, 1957.
Rose is survived by her loving children: Robert McGrath, Jr of Fostoria; Susan Michaels of Rossford; and Gary (Debbie) McGrath of Clyde; grandchildren: Michelle McGrath (Drew Banks) of Guysville, Ohio; Michael McGrath of Clyde; Justin Hemminger (Erin Ley) of Columbus; Meghan (Matthew) Schatt of Montgomery, Ohio; Erikx DiSantis (Wilder Yari) of Los Angeles, California; step grandchildren: Kathy Tucker, Jessica Peterson, Erica Moore; great-grandchildren: Olivia; Quinn; Micaela; Peyton; Mikey; Colin; Sterling; step-great grandchildren: Karmen; Karmelo; Amir; Phoenix; Lyla; Cameron; Caiden; Quest; Charlotte.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Rose was preceded in death by her siblings: Mary Miano; Rhea Sardello; Sarah Smith; Dorothy Sardello; Joe Disandis; Louise Disandis; son-in-law, Leonard Michaels; and step-grandson, Nicholas Sabbagh.
Visitation will be 9:00-10:40am Friday, December 16, 2022 at Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, 218 S. Main St, Clyde. Her funeral mass will be 11:00am Friday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 609 Vine St, Clyde with Rev. Ed Schleter officiating. Burial will follow in McPherson Cemetery.
