Alice Isabelle Murphy Bachar, 99, formerly of Bellevue, more recently residing with her granddaughter in Bainbridge, Ohio, died at her home on Saturday, December 24, 2022.
Isabelle was born in Vanlue, Ohio on May 28, 1923 to the now deceased Lenora (Thomas) and Noah Saltzman.
She had been a resident of Bellevue for 46 years, prior to her move. She had been a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ in Bellevue, until 1996 when she moved to Pataskala, Ohio.
In 1939, Isabelle married Marion Jacob Bachar. Her first child, Judeena, was born from this union. The couple divorced and Isabelle married Robert Franklin Murphy on November 3, 1951. Two children were born to them, Robin and Robert.
Mr. Murphy died in 1994. Then Isabelle remarried Marion on June 23, 1996. Marion died in 2003.
Survivors include her three children, Judeena Chase of Pataskala, Ohio; Robin (Doug) Auck of Bellevue and Robert F. Murphy, Jr. (Rita) of New Vienna, Ohio. Six grandchildren, John Chase, Liesa Chase Wenher, Eileen Lawson; Linda Chase Holt Kara Shoemaker and Robert Murphy III, along with six great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren survive.
Services will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2023 at 11:00 am with an hour visitation prior to the service, at Auxter Funeral Home, 1105 Castalia St., Bellevue. Her son, Rev. Robert Murphy will officiate. Burial will follow in Bellevue City Cemetery.
