Janet Marie Selvey, 90, of Clyde, died on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at Bethesda Care Center in Fremont.
Janet was born on April 10, 1932 to the now deceased Beulah (Bastian) and Roy Hackenburg.
She was a member of the 1950 Clyde High School graduating class and the Bowling Green .
From 1964-1989, she was a fourth grade teacher for the Clyde-Green Springs School District.
Mrs. Selvey was a life time member of the First United Methodist Church in Clyde. She had served as a hospice volunteer and had co-founded the Dusko Home.
On July 4, 1950, she married Harold "Turk" Selvey. He preceded her in death on August 31, 1999.
Two daughters, Crystal Johnson and Martha Selvey, both of Clyde, survive. Also, four grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren, along with her sister's daughter, Diane Lepley survive.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Phyllis Schindley.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, January 3, 2023 from 10:00 am until 11:45 will be held at Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, 218 South Main St., Clyde, Ohio. Graveside services will be held at McPherson Cemetery at Noon on Tuesday. with Rev. Amy Ochier officiating.
