Robert Orville Brown, 93, residing in Sandusky, passed away early Thursday morning, December 29, 2022 at his home following a brief illness.
Robert was born on June 3, 1929 in Toledo, OH to the late Ronald Orville and Flossie (Sites) Brown.
Robert was a hydraulic tech Veteran of US Air Force. He retired as an automatic control's technician from the NASA Plumbrook Station as well as the Lewis Research Center after many years of service. Robert was an active member of Trinity United Methodist Church. He was also a member of the Tiffin Masonic Lodge #77 F & A.M., and the Attica Lions Club. Robert enjoyed being a tour guide for the Merry Go Round Museum. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, walking and spending time with his family and friends.
Robert is survived by his wife, Evelyn (Crum) Brown, whom he married on June 3, 1956. He is also survived by his daughters, Rhonda O. Richmond of Sandusky and Vicki L. Gallagher of Hamilton Station, VA; son, Roland O. Brown of Sandusky; grandchildren, Jay R. Richmond of Columbia, SC, Shannon E. Brown of Wellington, Ethan and Noah Gallagher of VA and Jacob Buzza of Springfield, OH; great-grandchildren, Anna, Emily, Jordan, Jade, Julianna and Jacob Jr. and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
In addition to his parents, Robert is preceded in death by his daughter, Debra A. Brown in 2022; sister, Mary King and brothers, Donald, Lyman and Stan Brown.
Friends may call on Thursday, January 5, 2023 at 10:00 am until the time of funeral services at 11:00 am at Trinity United Methodist Church, 214 E. Jefferson St., Sandusky. The Rev. Dr. Diane Bell will officiate. Entombment will follow in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron. Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
