Denise Diane (Havice) Barnum, 62, of Sandusky, passed away Friday, December 30, 2022 at Stein Hospice Care Center after a brief battle with cancer.
She was born October 16, 1960 in Sandusky to the late Glenn Havice and Betty (Jessee) Echelbarger .
Denise attended Perkins High School. She was employed as a bartender for years. In her spare time, she was an avid pool player and loved to collect angels.
Denise is survived by her children, Jeremy Wassermann, of Sandusky, Chase (Kylie) Grealy, of Berlin Heights, and Shawn Barnum, of Sandusky; James (Heidi) Barnum, of New Jersey, Emily (Jason) Mock, of Sandusky, and Mary (Jim) Harakal, of Norwalk; siblings, Robert A. Echelbarger, of Clyde, Rebecca (Fred) Ball, of South Dakota, Rodney E. (Christine) Echelbarger, of Georgia; and Marsha and Eugene (Janet) Lyons, all of Sandusky; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Barnum; step-father, Robert E. Echelbarger; brother, Charles S. Park; and nephew, Rodney M. Echelbarger.
A Celebration of Life will take place from 3-5 P.M. on Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at Toft Funeral Home, Sandusky Chapel, 2001 Columbus Ave.
