Devin C. Weatherspoon, 52, residing in Sandusky, passed away suddenly Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at Firelands Regional Medical Center.
Devin was born on December 2, 1970 in Sandusky, OH to Cecil and Rose (Bishop) Weatherspoon Jr.
Devin graduated from Sandusky High School in 1989 and then attended Akron University. Devin was a member of the Salvation Army Sandusky Corps. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing both poker and the ponies. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. Devin loved to cook and it brought joy to feed his family & friends, especially his famous homemade pizza.
Devin is survived by his life companion of more than 30 years, Davida Richards; daughter, Brittney Alexander of Sandusky; sons, Trevor Richard-Bains of Clyde and Jarren Weatherspoon of Sandusky; grandchildren, Devin and Dalayah Peters and Khaléa Bond; parents, Cecil and Rose; sister, Roshon (Anthony) Weatherspoon-Thomas of Sandusky and nephew, Trenton Thomas.
Devin is preceded in death by his son, Devin Richards in 2015.
Friends may call on Friday, January 6, 2023 from 9:00 am until the time of funeral services at 11:00 am at Porter Memorial Church C.M.E., 1722 3rd St., Sandusky. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery, Sandusky.
