Evelyn Michael Bauer, 6, of Sandusky, passed away after a sudden illness Sunday, January 8, 2023 at Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital, Cleveland.
She was born October 25, 2016 in Sandusky and was currently a kindergartener at Shawnee School in Huron.
Always a smile on her face, Evelyn was on the go from morning to night. She had to be doing something, and her family had to keep up! She loved going to school, often doing school work even when she did not have to. Evelyn lived life big, and her love for her family was endless.
She is survived by her parents, Matt and Beth (Schwiefert) Bauer; brother, Grant; sister, Adelle; grandparents, Phil and Diane (Weiland) Bauer and Betty (Toft) Schwiefert; maternal great-grandparents, John and Alma Lou Toft; aunt, Stephanie (Josh Mittower) Bauer; uncles, Jason (Andrea) Schwiefert and Tony (Megan) Schwiefert; cousins, Gabe, Alison, and Erin; and a large extended family.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Michael Schwiefert; and her paternal great-grandparents.
Friends may call Thursday, January 12, from 4-7 P.M. at Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11 A.M. at Zion Lutheran Church, 503 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Burial will follow at Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
