Brian H. Persing, 59, residing in Sandusky, passed away early Sunday morning, January 15, 2023 at Edgewood Manor in Port Clinton, OH after a lengthy illness.
Brian was born on August 22, 1963 in Chula Vista, CA to Richard L. Persing and the late Ireta A. (Masteau) Persing.
Brian was a 1982 graduate of Sandusky High School. He has previously been employed at TowBoat U.S. as a mechanic. Brian enjoyed music, billiards, cooking, gardening, bird watching, animals and the Cleveland Guardians.
Brian is survived by his father; son, Brian M. Persing of Sandusky; sister, Laura Persing of Sandusky; aunt, Diane Trafas of Flushing, MI; two nieces, LeAnn Dickman of Hudson, OH and Katy (Zac) Dickman-Crawford of Sandusky; nephew, Jacob Dickman; and two great-nephews, Triton and Anakin.
In addition to his mother in 2015, Brian is preceded in death by several aunts and uncles.
A private family Celebration of Life will be held and conducted at a later date. Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory in Sandusky is assisting the family with arrangements.
