Jeanne Marie Stierhoff, 84, Sandusky, died Tuesday, October 19, 2010, in the Stein Hospice Care Center.
She was born on July 19, 1926 in Sandusky, and was a 1944 graduate of Sandusky High School. She was employed by the former Savings Building and Loan in Sandusky for 30 years. Jeanne was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, the American Legion Post 83 Auxiliary, V.F.W. Post 2529 Auxiliary, where she served as Junior Vice President, a volunteer for the Ohio Veterans Home since 1986, and a 20 year member of the Vacationland Sams R.V. Club.
She is survived by her husband, Karl "Mike" Stierhoff, Jr., to whom she was married 64 years; daughters, Donna (Steve) Stark, Lincoln Park, MI, and Sally (Wayne) Chunat, Malvern, OH; sons, Karl (Sandy) Stierhoff, Huron, and Mark (Barb) Stierhoff, Castalia; nine grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Leona (Dahnke) Coonrad.
A memorial mass will be held Monday, October 25, 2010, at 10 A.M. in St. Mary's Catholic Church, 429 Central Ave., Sandusky. Rev. Jason Kahle will officiate. Inurnment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary�s Catholic Church or to Stein Hospice Service, 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, OH 44870.
