Anthony K. Jones, 66, of Sandusky, passed away Sunday, January 15, 2023, unexpectedly, at the Cleveland Clinic with his wife and children by his side.
Anthony was born April 25, 1956 in Bulloch County, Georgia to the late Pearl and Ronella (Winn) Jones.
He studied and played football at Morehouse College from 1973 to 1977. He was currently employed as a salesman at Montrose KIA. Anthony had an outgoing personality and loved talking to people everywhere he went. His greatest joy in life was the family he created here in Sandusky. He enjoyed going to the gym in the mornings, Alabama Football (ROLL TIDE), was an avid golfer, and played at Thunderbird Hills golf league with his golf partner for many years. Anthony loved coming home to his family after a long day and taking care of his home.
Anthony is survived by his beloved wife, Muriel Robinson-Jones. He is also survived by his children, Rhian M. Jones, Anthony J. Jones, and Spencer M. Robinson; loving grandchildren, Anthony A. Jones, Hemii M. Robinson, and Djuan T. Robinson; siblings, Linda (Henson) Howard, of Jacksonville Florida, Rosebud Hilliard, of Jacksonville, Florida, Marilyn (Dave) Sheffield, of Glennville, Georgia, Spencer Jones, of Jacksonville, Florida, Larry (Debra) Allen, of Savannah, Georgia, Randy (Timothy) Crawford, of Atlanta, Georgia, and Adolph Jones, of Atlanta, Georgia; uncle, Otis Winn, of Jacksonville, Florida; aunt, Geraldine McBride, of Brooklet, Georgia; aunt, Carretha Smith, of Savannah, Georgia; longtime friend, Kelly Schiewe, of Sandusky; and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Anthony was preceded in death by his niece, LaShina Jones McCray, of Jacksonville, Florida.
At Anthony's request, cremation will take place with no services.
