Patricia Anne Bemis Taylor

Patricia Anne Bemis Taylor, 86, of Norwalk, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 21, 2023, and went home to the Lord, under the care of Stein Hospice and surrounded by her family.

Born on October 28, 1936, in Woodstock, VA, she was the daughter of the late Alvin and Dorothy Bemis. Patricia moved to the Norwalk area in 1976.

Patricia was a pediatric nurse for several years in Virginia. She also worked for a number of years with her family in their various businesses, including Caryl Crane Clothing store, and the Frost Top. Patricia also enjoyed babysitting for friends and family. Faith was an integral part of Patricia's life and she was an active member of the Norwalk First United Methodist Church where she was a lay leader, participated in children's ministry, and was involved with United Methodist Women. Patricia also volunteered with Stein Hospice. She enjoyed reading and studying the Bible, spending time with her family and her church family, cooking, working in her yard, and ministering to children.

Survivors include her children, Daniel Taylor, of Huron, Cindy (Ed) Casselberry, of Norwalk, Christopher (Jacky) Taylor of Milan; grandchildren, Amanda (Adam) Manko, Shawn Taylor, Brad Taylor, Alicia (Michael) Frado, Megan Casselberry, and Rachel Casselberry; step-grandchildren, Cameron Ground, Bethany (Richard) Ott, and Brittany (Christopher) Poole; great-grandchildren, Grant Manko, Addison Manko, Waylon Frado, and Colton Frado; and siblings, Judy Cook and Richard Borden. Patricia was preceded in death by her son William C. Taylor II; her former husband, William C. Taylor; grandson, Jonathan Taylor; siblings, June Fadley, Lewis Bemis, and Eddie Bemis; and her beloved companion, her cat, Cleo.

Friends and family will be received Saturday, January 28, from 1-4 p.m. at Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home, 98 West Main St, Norwalk. Services will be held on Sunday, beginning at 2 p.m. at the Norwalk First United Methodist Church, 60 West Main St, Norwalk. Burial will take place on Monday at Woodlawn Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Patricia's memory be directed to either the Huron County Humane Society, www.huroncountyhumansociety.com, or to Stein Hospice, 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky.
