Ethel Dennis, 79, of Bellevue passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2023 at her home. She was born November 3, 1943 the daughter of Henry and Nellie (Hunter) Basil in Double Spring, Alabama.
Ethel was a homemaker, loved caring for her daughter, and cherished and adored her grandchildren. She was a member of Providence Baptist Church and was a former Sunday School teacher.
She is survived by her husband, Wallace Wayne Dennis, whom she married February 27, 1961 in Norwalk; daughter, Lisa (Ernie) Pilliod; 3 grandchildren: Ethan Dennis, Delaney Dennis, and Marissa Denney; and her sister, Betty (Rudy Ramon) Parrish.
In addition to her parents, Ethel is preceded in death by her granddaughter, Desiree Dennis and siblings: Helen Risner, Roger Basil, and Aubrey "Kelly" Basil.
Friends will be received on Friday, February 3, 2023 from 4 - 7 p.m. at Foos & Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue. A funeral service will begin on Saturday at 10 a.m. at Providence Baptist Church, 1000 Gardner Street, Bellevue. Burial will follow at York Chapel Cemetery.
