Earl William Dickman

Earl William Dickman, 89, of Milan, passed away late Thursday evening, February 1, 2023, at Stein Hospice Care Center.

Earl was born in Sandusky, OH on January 14, 1934, to the late Russell and Margaret (Jaycox) Dickman.

He attended Sandusky High School and worked at Ford Motor Company as a machine operator and general laborer for 33 years. He was a member of the Moose Lodge, Eagles, and Bronson Conservation League. Earl was a very skilled handyman. He could fix anything but was especially proficient with small engine repair. In his spare time, he enjoyed gardening, fishing, and boating.

Earl is survived by his loving wife, Shirley (Manns) Dickman, whom he married on June 30, 1956; son, Bill (Pam) Dickman of Monroeville; 5 grandchildren, Ryan (Brittany), Drew, Ashley (Stevie), Aaron (Allison), and Stephanie (Mike); 6 great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary Stoll, Joanna (Roger) Hitchcock, and Ellen (John) Trieber; brother, John Dickman, and sister-in-law, Lynnette (Merrett) Scheufler.

In addition to his parents, Earl was preceded in death by his daughter, Debra Smith, and brothers, Leon Dickman and Russell Dickman.

A visitation will be held on Monday, February 6, 2023, from 10 am until 11 am at Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home, 98 West Main Street, Norwalk, OH 44857. The funeral service will begin at 11 am on Monday at the funeral home. A procession and graveside service will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
