John K. Ward, age 65, of Norwalk, passed away Wednesday, February 1, 2023, at Fisher-Titus Medical Center.
He was born January 2, 1958, in Madison, Wisconsin and was a 1980 graduate of the University of Wisconsin, where he played the French horn known as a frumpet in the Marching Band.
He worked many years with Jiffy Products. He was a horticulturist with many patents and loved his plants, gardening, and greenhouse. He was a sportsman, enjoyed the outdoors and collecting records. He enjoyed spending time with his family and especially gardening with his grandson, Jax.
He is survived by his mother, Mary Ward of Monroe, WI; children, Kelsey (Zach Bleile) Ward of Norwalk and Kevin (Michayla Wood) Ward of Wooster; grandchild, Jaxon Bleile; sister, Wendy Ward (Anders Svanoe) of Madison, WI.; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Wil Ward.
A celebration of life gathering will be held Saturday, February 11, 2023, from 9:00 - 11:00 A.M. at The Chapel, 156 S Norwalk Rd E, Norwalk, OH, where a service will begin at 11:00 A.M. with Eric Lapata officiating.
