Robert Jackson Jr., 67, Sandusky, passed away Wednesday, February 15, 2023, in the Providence Care Center.
He was born June 30, 1955 in Boston, GA, to Robert Jackson Sr. and Evelyn (Major) Jackson.
Robert graduated from Perkins High School in 1975, receiving his HVAC certificate from Ehove Vocational School, and then his Associates of Arts in Business in 1997. He spent time in the U.S. Marines following high school and made his way back to Ohio, where he worked at Universal Clay and retired from Rhetech. Robert spent the remainder of his years as a caretaker for his mother, Evelyn.
Robert was a fun, loving and kind gentle giant. He loved to spend time with family and friends, especially during holiday functions and barbeques, where he loved to cook and eat good food. Robert enjoyed making others laugh, especially his young nieces and nephews. He will be dearly missed by many.
Robert is survived by his loving mother, Evelyn (Major) Jackson, Sandusky; siblings, Kenneth "Wayne" Jackson, Kevin Williams, and Karen Williams all of Sandusky, Barbara Ann Jackson, Kansas; nieces and nephews, Chasity Jackson, Keith Jackson, Catrina Harvey, and Shannon Jackson; many great nieces and great nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Jackson Sr.; paternal grandparents, C.B. and Adella Jackson; maternal grandparents, T.C. and Arneser (Hollis) Major; lifelong friends, Bobby, Haney, Jimmy Harvey, and Charles Lamar Moore Green.
Private family services will be held in Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Rev. Joseph Strong will officiate.
