Kory Michael Tubbs, 44 died unexpectedly February 22, 2023. Kory was born April 13, 1978, in Omaha, Nebraska to Kathy Randolph and Kevin Tubbs.
An amazing husband, father, son, brother and uncle, Kory loved his family immensely. His absolute pride and joy were his daughters Avery and Addison. He would gladly talk your ear off to brag about them and all of their accomplishments. He was always and forever will be proud of them.
Kory was a graduate of Bowling Green State University with a degree in criminal justice.
Kory was a great photographer and was the owner of Tubbs Photography. He loved being able to share that talent with so many people over the years. From sporting events to family gatherings to engagements and weddings, he was always capturing memories. He had a passion for creating special and unique personalized photographic gifts to many family and friends.
Kory loved sports and was an absolute fan of soccer. He played competitively in his youth and continued to play throughout his adult life. Not only did he play but he coached countless youth soccer teams over the years. In addition to coaching youth soccer he even dabbled in youth volleyball coaching. This past season he helped Avery coach the Western Reserve 6th grade basketball team to an undefeated season.
Kory has been a long-standing member of the Western Reserve Endowment Fund. He volunteered every year at their annual golf outing and helped make it successful each and every year.
Kory had an amazing singing voice and even sang at his sister, Lacey's wedding. Kory also had a great sense of humor, even if it was inappropriate at times. Always ready with a joke or a movie quote. He just loved to make people laugh.
Survivors include his wife Amanda (Blanton) Tubbs, parents Kevin (Louisa) Tubbs and Kathy (Don) Randolph. HIs beloved children Avery Tubbs and Addison Tubbs, as well the family dog, Cash. His brothers and sisters Kristine (Jamie) Houghtlen (St. Charles,, MO), Kraig Tubbs (Omaha, NE), Michael (Chelsea) Tubbs (Amarillo, TX), Ryan (Justyne) Tubbs (Las Cruces, NM), Brandon Tubbs (Las Cruces, NM), Jordan (Sammy) Tubbs (St. Charles, MO), Lacey (Matt) Kirksey (St. Charles, MO), Ashton (Megan) Tubbs, (Farmington, MO), Mariah Randolph (St. Charles, MO) and Noah Randolph (St. Charles, MO) and numerous nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his grandmother, Beverly Trace, mother-in-law Ruth Blanton and brother and sister-in-law Jason (Heather) Blanton and their children Nora and Emilia his godchildren.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather Herb Ryan and his father-in-law Jack Blanton.
Friends and Family are invited to a visitation at Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home, 98 W. Main St., Norwalk, Ohio on Friday, February 24, 2023, from 6-8 pm and Saturday, February 25, 2023, from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. (noon) with a funeral service beginning at noon, also at the funeral home. Pastor Rich Forman is officiating the service. A celebration of Kory's life will be held at Collins United Methodist Church 4290 Hartland Center Road, Collins, Ohio. Guests to all of Kory's services are encouraged to dress casually.
