Blakely Luke Hilty

Blakely Luke Hilty, "bluebird or BB" as loved ones so affectionately referred to her as, 10 months of Bellevue, became an angel on Thursday, February 23, 2023, after a fiercely fought 19-day battle at the Akron Children's Hospital following an unexpected status epilepticus seizure as a result of PolG, an unknown genetic disorder that came to fruition. She was born strong and healthy on April 12, 2022, in Sandusky, the daughter of Darek and Meghan (Didion) Hilty.

Despite a shortened life, Blakely lived and thrived in every bit of that bright life making loved ones, and strangers alike, beam through her angelic and easy-going personality, sparkling hazel eyes; with the longest eyelashes, and engaging radiant smile that was adorned with the best high-pitched squeals. She would extend her hands to pull your face to hers and give the best kisses and scrunched nose rubs. Blakely completely adored her big sisters and loved ones, pink satin blanket pressed against her cheek, bedtime bottle, fresh air, and sunshine stroller rides, singing to worship music, and had the most sophisticated appetite; her favorites being seafood; specifically crab cakes, and chewing on daddy's deer sticks. While Blakely was small, she was mighty strong and one of God's biggest soldiers as she left her final mark through prayer chains across America creating a movement through #Blakelysarmy, bringing loved ones and strangers together in prayer and closer to Him. Which led into the development of "3 for B" every day; 1. Pray over a complete stranger in passing or give them good vibes, 2. Tell someone something genuine about what they mean to you or share in how they impacted your day for the better, 3. Do at least one act of kindness on Blakely's behalf.

In addition to her loving parents, Blakely is survived by her devoted sisters and favorite humans, Addyson Marie and Harper Grayce. Along with her doting maternal grandparents: Casey and Deborah Didion of Bellevue; affectionate paternal grandparents, Craig Hilty and Lisa (Ken Henry) Hilty; Uncles, Max Didion, Grant (Diana) Hilty, Austin Hilty, Kenny (Rachel) Henry, and Dylan Henry; Aunts: Jessica Didion and Olivia Henry.

Blakely is preceded in death by her gallant and loving uncle and namesake, Luke Didion.

Friends will be received for a memorial gathering on Friday, March 3, 2023 from 2-7 p.m. at Foos & Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue. A Celebration of Life will be announced for the summer.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Bellevue City Schools, c/o Playground Equipment, 125 North Street, Bellevue, where the funds will be used for playground equipment.
