Kenneth E. Hughes, 70, Norwalk, passed away peacefully and quietly into the loving arms of our Lord on Sunday, March 25, 2012, in St.Vincent's Mercy Medical Center, Toledo, after a brief illness.
He was born on March 2, 1942 in McArthur, OH, and was a U.S. Navy veteran.
He was employed by North Central EMS.
Ken was an avid outdoorsman, and he enjoyed many special moments with his family and friends.
He is survived by his sister, Janice Menchhofer, West Unity, OH; brother, Robert "Nick" (Stephanie) Butler, Huron, OH; nieces, Tami (Menchhofer) Baker, Kim (Menchhofer) Baker, Renee Menchhofer, Barb (Menchhofer) Ewing, and Natasha Noftz; nephew, Nicholas Butler; and special friends, Terry Stoldt, Curt Stoldt, and Cam Stoldt.
He was preceded in death by his father, Harold H. Hughes; mother, Florence (England) Butler; step-father, William R. Butler; and a brother, Ronald D. Hughes.
Private family services will be held. Burial will take place in Oakland Cemetery, Sandusky. Memorial contributions may be made to the family, in care of Toft Funeral Home & Crematory.
