Robert C. "Bob" Welch, 79, of Wakeman, Ohio, died at home on March 12, 2023.
He was born on June 8, 1943, in Norwalk, Ohio to the late Laura (Odell) Phillips and the late Robert Welch.
Bob joined the United States Navy after school and was a Supervisor at Tenneco Inc., where he had worked for over 30 years.
He loved Westerns and Louis L' Amour novels, and enjoyed golf, being outdoors, fishing, trips to Mohican, and time with his dogs.
He is survived by his loving wife of nearly 50 years, Marti (Gilbert) Welch; children, Robin Welch, Sam (Angie) Farmer, Joshua (Joline) Welch, and Jason (Megan) Welch; siblings, Anita Meade-Phillips and Vivian Knight; grandchildren, Nikki (Vinod), Cody (Sephora), Damius, Travis (Natalie), Autumn, Daniel, Alyssa, Brittany (Josh), Brandon, Hunter, Hayden, Seth, Lilly, Becca, Teagan, Asher, Aiden, Michah, Landon, Violet, Maxwell, and Elliot; 12 great grandchildren; and special nephew, Tyler (Christine) Phillips.
In addition to his birthparents, he was also preceded in death by his father, Charles Phillips; children, Robert Welch and Lori Morgan; grandchild, Ava Riffle; brother, Chuck Phillips; and sisters, Carol Groff and Linda Leber.
